i may not know a warp from a weft or which way the bias goes, but when i find vintage linens and fabrics and they have a certain eau de grandma, a.k.a. stored in a trunk for many years smell-i cannot resist.
the small linen table cloth caught my eye with the beautiful hand stitching that is repeated in each corner. the blue fabric is a simple thin cotton and looks like a pattern one would see manufactured today although it is over 50 years of age.

these are some quilts + throws that have caught my eye lately + have me itching to put needle to thread or at least to get the never used sewing machine out of the box:
Narmada quilted throw
Flag Blanket (check out the photo of the underside)
Jess Brown's quilts look lusciously worn + comforting
Vintage Kantha Quilts i am most intrigued by the 'back' side of these
i love the "imperfect" appearance of some of these--makes me think i could attempt to make one and be okay with the imperfections.
