.....sad to learn that the December issue of Home Companion Magazine will be the last.

They are looking for a new publisher.....

A Most Lovely Floral Shop

That is how I found myself on the housemartin blog one morning several months ago. I lingered over the beautiful photographs, the lovely and creatively inspiring floral arrangements. However, what really piqued my interest was the chatter about Pam’s soon-to-be-opening shop:

The day I visited Ink & Peat it was a wonderfully warm and sunny day. The shop had a welcoming open-air feel, due to the fact that one side of the shop was open onto a neighboring café. The large windows welcomed every ounce of light.

 

The first thing you notice upon entering is the gorgeous “Light Bulb Chandelier”….

 

 

After that, everything gets your attention.

 

 

 

There are thoughtfully chosen displays of florals, printed textiles, handmade jewelry and paper goods.

 

 

I highly recommend visiting if you are in Portland-they had very affordable stems for impromptu bouquets, many “ready-made florals” for quick choosing and lovely letterpress cards and gifts in a wide variety of price ranges.
