Janine, at UPPERCASE is about to embark on a publishing dream.
For quite some time she has had on the back burner a very special publishing project pertaining to one of her collecting "loves"--the typewriter.
From time to time when I was at UPPERCASE for an event or to drop something off, Janine would mention this publishing idea to do a book on the history of the typewriter. It sounded like a rather large under taking to me, but I thought if anyone could do it and do it in a design savvy way, it was Janine.
Earlier this week The Typewriter: a Graphic History of the Beloved Machine kicked off a crowd funding campaign. You can read all about it on the UPPERCASE blog + watch the video!
Janine has given so much support + exposure to independent designers, thinkers, trades people, craft persons, small business owners and artists through the many publications she creates.
