i have notebooks + notebooks filled with ideas. just like you.
i have product lines sketched out, from the product itself to the materials i would like to see it made out of straight through to the packaging.
this type of dreaming and planning excites me. it floats my boat.
When Divine Twine was being conceived and Whitney was developing the product and getting the manufacturer on board she shared a bit about the process with me. Then of course Divine Twine was featured in Martha Stewart Living earlier this past summer. I was estatic for Whitney, she's put a lot of research into Divine Twine that might not be obvious to most of us.
Then I got to thinking why don't I share with Whitney--someone I admire ---a couple of twine ideas from a sketchbook over a half decade ago. I thought, "why don't I let these ideas go?"
I composed an email. I hit send. I was a little nervous.
I knew I could trust Whitney with it. I knew if she didn't like the idea she would leave it for me to develop if I chose to. She was very enthusiastic and we exchanged some emails even had a color consult with her husband (!) and the beautiful result is the above Air Mail Divine Twine. What started as a simple color sketch in an old notebook became amazing in Whitney's designer hands.
The Air Mail Divine Twine is 100% a result of Whitney's hard work---I just wanted a spool of red, white + blue twine.
Now I can have many spools!
Whitney has a sign up list, so you will be the first to know when the AirMailDivineTwine has arrived--you do want to be on this list don't you?
